The next day I returned to the same location to do another listen for shortwave or Ham stations and was able to catch a few more. The spot is high up on a hilltop over looking the beautiful ocean and some of the beach coves near by.

I am using a standard Sangean 909 shortwave and in the past have used a Wire antenna strung out agout 50 ft between poles or trees but this time I did not bring such.
